I paint happy things in really good colors.

I’m a Michigan artist, lifelong creative, and the person behind Jackie Marie.

My paintings are bold, colorful, a little unexpected, and intentionally not too serious. I’m drawn to subjects that already have personality—beloved pets, Northwoods characters, nostalgic objects, flowers, and ordinary little moments—and I paint them the way they feel, rather than trying to capture every last detail.

I believe art doesn’t have to be complicated to matter. Sometimes it can simply make you smile when you walk past it.

My philosophy is simple:

Honor the likeness. Celebrate the personality. Simplify everything else.

I paint with bold acrylic color, visible brushstrokes, unexpected color shifts, and just enough imperfection to let the hand of the artist show.

More than anything, I want you to look at a Jackie Marie piece and think:

“This makes me happy.”
